What's New in WindowTester Version 3.9, June 2009
WindowTester v3.9 products add support for centralized test development with distributed test execution, Eclipse 3.5, significant Runtime enhancements, improvements for use with GEF-based applications and better overall performance.
* WindowTester Runner —For larger teams, it may make sense to centralize development of your Java GUI tests, but have distributed test execution. WindowTester Pro, WindowTester SWT and WindowTester Swing continue to provide the capability to develop and execute GUI tests, while the WindowTester Runner allows licensed users to perform automated playback of GUI tests created in all three products.
* Eclipse 3.5 Support —Provides full support for Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo), maintaining Instantiations’ commitment to stay in sync with the annual Eclipse release train.
* Eclipse Views and Perspectives —Adds condition handling support for Eclipse views and perspectives to enrich RCP tests generated by WindowTester Pro.
* Turkish Keyboard Support — Offers new runtime support for the Turkish keyboard.
* Other Runtime Enhancements —Adds runtime functionality to support drag-and-drop for the Swing runtime, as well as new class name-based locators.
* Target Provisioner GEF Support —Improves the WindowTester Target Provisioner Wizard, allowing the addition of WindowTester GEF support bundles to make it easier to work with GEF-based applications.
* Performance Improvement —WindowTester Pro has also been enhanced to provide better performance on Linux, SWT functionality and UI functionality.
